Long Hair

The delicate beauty of long haired furs brings to mind things sensuous, glamourous and flirtatious! Our provocative group of favorites includes fox, raccoon, beaver, lynx and sable.

Fox
Fluffy and wondrous. Natural colors include red (USA); silver (Russia, Canada); white-blue, black, silver-blue (Scandinavia); and many more. Fox is ideal for colorizing to achieve the spirited, trendy hues popular with many modern designs.

Raccoon
Natural silver and black markings create strikingly beautiful coats. Very durable and warm, it is a winter long-hair suitable for any occasion.

Beaver
Luxurious to the touch and incredibly warm. Long-hair or "unplucked" beaver is used in everything from classic coats to hooded parkas. A smart choice, beaver will stand the test of time and the elements — beautifully.

Lynx
Awe-inspiring, wild and whimsical, this fur exudes luxury! Fluffy Canadian lynx, sleeker, more racy American lynx, and spellbinding Russian lynx — they share distinctive markings on a snowy-white background and create magic wherever they are used. Unique and bold, lynx is definitely not for the timid!

Sable
A symbol of excellence for the most discerning of tastes. Experience the feeling of being wrapped in a dream of golden bliss, or float on a cloud of silver-tipped enchantment. When only the best will do, indulge in a Weiss sable and enjoy the ultimate in luxury for years to come.

Smart Shoppers Know

Long hair furs include the naturally-prepared pelts of fox, sable, raccoon, fitch, lynx, marten, muskrat, opossum, tanuki and coyote. The guard hairs are the long glossy hairs that overlay the shorter, denser underfur. When shopping for a long hair fur, look for a pleasing mixture of soft guard hairs and a dense, soft underfur that is evident to the touch. Inspect the guard hairs for signs of rubbing (guard hair breakage), shedding (loss of guard hairs) or singeing (curling of guard hairs.)
